Minimalist Task of the Day:

If you are looking to scale down on your number of possessions, these daily tasks should be a great help to you. Get started now:

  • Set your timer for 30 minutes. Sort through a section of your house deciding what to keep and what to part with. Place unwanted items in the appropriate box – donate, yard sale, eBay, or recycle. Trash goes in the trash can.
  • Photograph any non-consumable items that you intend to keep and file the snapshots in a folder on your computer. Because it takes a bit of time to photograph and file an item, you might choose to keep less items. Keeping an item means more work in your daily life as well. Ridding of an item means less to clean and less to take care of.
  • Today is the day to photograph any items in your eBay box. Find a nice background such as a clutter free tabletop or lay a cloth on your couch to use as a backdrop for your items. You don’t even have to list the items today (just photograph)! So easy. That’s it!
