If you are looking to scale down on your number of possessions, these daily tasks should be a great help to you. Get started now:
- Set your timer for 30 minutes. Sort through a section of your house deciding what to keep and what to part with. Place unwanted items in the appropriate box – donate, yard sale, eBay, or recycle. Trash goes in the trash can. I don’t know about you, but my half hour goes by very quickly!
- Photograph any non-consumable items that you intend to keep and file the snapshots in a folder on your computer. Because of the extra work involved, this helps you to think twice about what you are keeping. You’ll also have record of your belongings for insurance purposes (if ever needed).
- Is your “donate” box full yet? If so, now is the time to take the items to the nearest donation center. That’s it for today!
